The Present

every night the moon will be there

every night the moon will be there

A little note to the Moon

Tomorrow is not a guarantee, it's a possibility. Every moment is a gift you can't return.

Yet we still reach for the worries of tomorrow instead of sinking into the gift of today.

Trading the beauty of today for the what-if's of tomorrow.

We should learn how to appreciate the 🎁.

Because,

  1. The only time we ever live in is the present.
  2. The only thing we'll ever control is the now.
  3. Don't live in the tomorrow, live in the now.
  4. Rather than focusing on the what-if's why not the what now?

Update on Life (Post Graduation)

Summer Activites

Summer Activites

After graduating. I've been mass applying to jobs online and it has been quite tough. It felt way easier to study CS than to find a job right now.

Got a few interviews lined up but not sure if its the right job for me though. I've started to see myself as more of a business guy than a sit down and code for hours person. Eventhough I enjoy the process of building and creating something I also enjoy the process of overseeing and managing.

I've also been watching alot of shows lately as well. Catching up on all the shows that I've missed throughout the semester (it was an extremely busy last semester for me). A show that I extremely enjoyed watching was The Bear. I Highly recommend that show to anybody that wants to watch something about cooking, intrapersonal relationships and stress.

Something from the show I would love to implement for myself is a list of non-negotiables (more thought will have to be put into it). Before that I will need to curate a list of to-do's to help restructure and optimize my current terrible lifestyle

To-Do's

  • Energy:
    • Fixing my terrible sleep schedule, and getting enough sleep (8> hours)
  • Time: Utilize time blocking + 3-3-3 method
  • Diet: Eating fresh meals (refrain from 1 week meal prep style)
  • Fitness:
    • Hit the gym 5 days a week (back to grind mode)
    • Hit 10k steps a day
  • Health:
    • Track calories and macros
    • Do physio recommended excercises (shoulder impingement)
  • Habits:
    • Create "rituals" for every activity
    • Ex: before sleeping do stretches, wake up do stretches
    • Start reading once more
  • Information:
    • Curate my information diet
    • jot down all the ideas
  • Activities:
    • track time spent on each activities (activity logger)

I Always Have A Choice

A short video of Mel Robbins that I stumbled upon that really piqued my interest.

Even if you're tired, you can still go to the gym
Even if you're annoyed with your spouse, you can still speak in a manner that is loving.
Even if you dont feel like doing that hard work, you can still Push yourself to do it.

Your Feelings aren't a choice
Your Behavior and Your Thoughts are always a choice

This short video made me realize once again that there is a choice in what we do, how we act, how we live in every moment. In that very moment we truly hold all the power in the world to change the course of our life.

That's why I made a choice to write about this today eventhough I am extremely exhausted. To act as a reminder that I always have a choice.

These are truly some words to live by. The choice is always right in front of me.
